Mumbai, Jan 5 (UNI) National Alliance of People’s Movement (NAPM), a non-government organisation, has demanded stern action against bureaucrats and politicians, involved in the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scam.
Welcoming the resignation of Subhash Lalla, member of State Human Rights Commission, whose name had figured in the Adarsh scam, NAPM, in a statement, said the buck will not only stop with the resignation of bureacrats, but it needs full action against the guilty bureaucrats and politicians.
The organisation had already filed a complaint on December 13, last year, with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) demanding registration of FIR against Subhash Lalla and Sushil Kumar Shinde, former Chief Minister, and later a writ petition was also filed in the Bombay High Court which is still pending.
Lalla was Secretary to the Chief Minister when the Adarsh scandal took place and he allegedly favoured the society and in turn got flats for his wife and daughter, it added.
